The Leather Look
Fashion rules have changed and that’s certainly true when it comes to leather…how to wear it, how to pair it and even when to wear it. The answer to all of the above….any way you want and pretty much anytime you want to wear it (well that might be a little difficult in 100+ degree heat but hey, if it works for you…go for it!)
Leather has been in the fashion world for decades but has become more of a fashion mainstay over the past few seasons. We saw leather shorts, easy jackets, and even dresses play a role in Spring 2021. It goes without saying that leather plays a bigger role in Fall/Holiday seasons. Regardless of the season, today’s leather is acceptable and oh so easy with all the style options available to incorporate it into your day to day style choices! I personally love to throw a little moto jacket on to complete my look, especially over one of my favorite spring/summer dress styles that I want to continue wearing into the fall. Leather jackets obviously look super cool paired with your favorite jeans and a graphic or an “of the moment” tee which makes a leather jacket (Moto, blazer or. bomber) the perfect piece to add an extra little something….so, be sure you have a style or two in your closet.
Just as easy but maybe a little more intimidating is a leather pant. Don’t be afraid of them though! The likelihood of getting stuck in your pants is far, far lower than the likelihood that you’ll want to wear your leather pants again and again this season. We’re currently seeing (and stocking) an array of leather joggers that can be easily dressed up or dressed down. So, next time you’re reaching for your favorite trusty pair of jeans, try out some leather pants instead! You’ll be so glad you did!
Last up on the list, we have leather tops. The best part about this trend is how elevated and chic you look for the same amount of effort it would’ve taken to put on your trusty little t-shirt. While you could put a lot of effort into dressing up a leather shirt, you can throw one on with a great pair of denim, a cute kitten heel and go….looking amazing and spot on style for 2021!
